Collectionist

Terms of Use

End User License Agreement · Effective September 11, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Nicolas Frugoni (“we”, “us”), the developer of Collectionist, based in Barcelona, Spain. By creating an account or using the Collectionist app or website (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These Terms add to the Standard EULA; where they conflict regarding the app license, the Standard EULA prevails. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it.

2. Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google. You must be at least 14 years old (or the minimum age for digital consent in your country, if higher). You’re responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Apple or Google account secure. One person, one account; don’t impersonate anyone.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you add — photos, descriptions, comments and messages (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce and display Your Content only as needed to operate the Service — for example, to show your public collections to other users and on share links. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other users already received in messages. You confirm that you have the rights to what you upload and that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights.

4. Community rules — zero tolerance

Collectionist has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Accounts that post such content or abuse other people will be removed.

You must not post, upload or send content that:

  • is hateful or discriminatory, including slurs or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age;
  • harasses, bullies, threatens, intimidates or stalks anyone, or encourages violence or self-harm;
  • is sexually explicit or pornographic, or sexualizes minors in any way;
  • is graphically violent, defamatory, or reveals someone else’s private information;
  • promotes illegal activity or offers illegal, stolen or counterfeit goods;
  • is spam, a scam, or misleading, or infringes intellectual-property rights.

To enforce these rules we filter objectionable language automatically, and every user can report collections, items, comments, messages and users, and block other users (blocked users can’t see or interact with you, their content disappears from your feeds immediately, and blocking also notifies us so we can review the account). We review reports promptly — within 24 hours — and remove offending content and suspend or permanently ban the users who posted it. We may remove any content or account that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, with or without notice.

5. Premium, subscriptions and purchases

Collectionist is free to use with limits (currently 3 collections, 25 items per collection and 4 photos per item). Premium removes those limits and adds extra features. Premium is offered as:

  • Auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly or yearly). Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription.

Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country. All payments, cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms; to request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. If Premium ends, you keep all of your content — you just can’t create beyond the free limits until you subscribe again. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the Service: no scraping or automated bulk access, no attempts to break or bypass security, rate limits or plan limits, no reverse engineering except where the law allows it, and no using the Service to build a competing product.

7. Third-party services

Barcode suggestions come from third-party databases (Open Library, UPCitemdb) and may be incomplete or wrong. Values you record are your own estimates; Collectionist doesn’t provide appraisals or financial advice.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the app’s Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms or if we need to for legal reasons. If we ever discontinue the Service we’ll give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content posted by other users. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer — including under the laws of your country of residence in the EU.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. We’ll change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

11. Law and contact

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you’re a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the country you live in and may bring claims in its courts. Questions? Email nfrugoni19@gmail.com.
